It’s important to us that members feel appreciated! Without our members, our organization would not be able to achieve half of what we do! Becoming a member offers a variety of perks, including earlybird access to merchandise and products, invitations to members-only events, and tickets to community events. Members also receive discounts at a selective number of local businesses!
Community
The City of Chilliwack is lucky to have such an incredible growing community of amazing, open-minded and social-justice motivated individuals. As our community grows, so do their needs for events, spaces and opportunities! One of the goals of Chilliwack Pride Society is to facilitate and support this movement. We believe everyone deserves to feel accepted, celebrated and at home here! By joining as a member, you get to be a involved in making this dream a reality. Whether you identify as part of the 2SLGTBQIA+ community or as an ally, we welcome you!
Equitable access is a foundational element in responsible community building. We offer barrier free membership in addition to paid options.
Volunteer members get full access to community events, news and earlybird access to merchandise and products for free. When a volunteer member clocks a minimum of 2 hrs of labour with the society, they become eligible to receive an invitation to our AGM, where they acquire voting rights.
Paid membership options exist for those who can afford to financially support Chilliwack Pride Society. It is because of the generosity of those who donate to our organization that we are able to offer barrier-free access to many of our events. Community partners and sponsors make up a portion of the funds we collect to support this, but we are grateful to have so many members who are in a position to offer monetary contributions.
